This day and age has me on autopilot. When I look up at the end of my day, I am not fully sure I’ve tapped into my soul, my heart. Is anyone nurturing me? Am I doing anything to nurture myself? Or will I be on autopilot for the rest of my life? Giving all I’ve got to motherhood, yet also simultaneously being so scattered across the board from the busyness of this life, my soul seems perpetually empty. Not to mention the brilliant schemes of technology that are sucking me in, taking me away from each current moment.

I am constantly having to fight for the time to slow down. To be present. To put my phone down. I have somehow come to believe the lie that if I seek moments of rest, I’m doing something wrong and I should feel guilty.

We were meant to STOP; rest; delight in nature and people and hobbies. We were created to be nourished. The intent behind this series is to remind ourselves of just that, and to encourage each other to be proactive in fighting for the time and space to breathe; to reconnect with our souls from time to time.
